I made this low carb barbecue sauce for topping some barbecue chicken which was a dish we had all the time growing up. It was so fun to recreate my childhood recipes that were full of sugary sauces or canned soups to be paleo and keto friendly. This sauce can be used on ribs or brisket while still keeping the sweetness without the carbs. Hope you enjoy it.

Low Carb Barbecue Sauce

Prep time: 5 minutes

Serves: 4 makes about 1.5 cups

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 oz tomato paste
2 tbsp. gluten free soy sauce (I like this one)
1/2 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon gluten free horseradish mustard  or spicy mustard

1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons lemon juice
3-4 drops of Stevia Liquid (order here ) to taste

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon natural liquid smoke, optional (Order here)

Directions: 
Mix all ingredients well, then use as a dipping sauce for meats. You can also spread on meats before baking.
